With their latest product, TomTom set out to prove that GPS is for everyone. Similar to its predecessors in the GO range, the TomTom 1 ONE combines TomTom’s award winning Navigation software with an easy to use interface and a sensitive GPS receiver to make a wireless, all-in-one device.


Street Level maps of the UK

The beauty of TomTom’s range is that you don’t need a PC or any technical knowledge to access its full capabilities. The most recent maps of the UK are pre-installed on a SD memory card allowing you to simply plug in the TomTom 1 ONE device and go, no lengthy set-up process is required. The bespoke mounting kit included holds the TomTom 1 ONE device securely and in a variety of positions, allowing for optimal viewing while protecting it against bumps and knocks. The clear 320x240 TFT touch screen, 3D colour navigation views and voice-guided directions will make sure you get to your destination as quickly, safely and efficiently as possible.

SiRF Star III chipset

The important features to note in the TomTom ONE's specification are the SiRF Star III chipset and the apparent lack of any interface connections to the cradle. SiRF Star III will greatly reduce the situations where an external antenna is required. What sets the TomTom 1 ONE apart from the previous GO’s is the inclusion of SiRF Star III chipset technology. The TomTom 1 ONE will continue to track you even when the signal is poor, making sure you never get lost.
