The Mio 268+ Plus device is the latest improvement on the highly successful PNA Satellite Navigation systems from Mio. The Mio 268+ Plus use the latest SIRF III chip, with Maps of UK & Ireland & Major Roads of Europe preloaded onto a 512MB SD card. Maps of 27 European Countries are included on DVD.

The Mio 268 + Plus DigiWalker uses the latest 2005 Tele Atlas map data, running the highly recommended MN5 Navigon software. Navigation now uses 6 digit postcode searches. The Mio 268 + Plus offers a PDA with Microsoft Windows CE 4.2, MP3 player and Contacts & Calendar Microsoft Outlook compatible.

Unlike PDA Sat Nav packages, the Mio 268+ Plus DigiWalker is a Plug-And-Go package that needs no configuration or additional GPS antenna to function as the Mio 268+ Plus is equipped with a built-in Sirfstar III GPS chipset. The Mio 268+ Plus unit comes with MioMap CE version 2.0 based on the MN5 Navigon Sat Nav Mobile Navigator 5 navigation software.

The Mio 268+ Plus and Mio 269+ Plus are now powered by 400 MHz processor, the two handhelds both come with 32 MB ROM and 64 MB of RAM, featuring 3.5" transflective TFT touch-screens with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and 16-bit colour depth. Equipped with integrated SiRFStar III GPS chips, both units also have an 18 x 18 mm patch antenna with an extended antenna jack.

Also common for both handhelds is an SD Card Memory expansion slot supporting cards of up to 1GB in size, as well as USB for PC connectivity. In addition, both models feature Infrared connectivity, and also have a 3.5 mm jack for audio out. Measuring in at 138 x 78 x 26 mm, the Mio 268+ Plus and Mio 269+ Plus share each other's vital measurements.
The navigation software applied by the Mio 268+ Plus and Mio 269+ Plus is MN5 from Navigon, offering several pre-set settings for use under varying conditions: car, motorcycle, bicycle and walking - for instance, avoiding cyclists being routed towards highways.

In addition, there is also an MP3 player which Mio Technology suggests using with SD storage cards. Both models contain a car mounting kit.
